Human Brain Mapping Laboratory

We study how brain dynamics give rise to different cognitive and autonomic functions using intracranial EEG (iEEG, ECoG) and electrical brain stimulation in humans. We are part of The Institute of Bioelectronic Medicine at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in the Northwell Health System in New York.

We aim to map and modulate functional and pathological networks in the human brain, by working with patients with epilepsy who have electrodes implanted in their brains in preparation for surgery to treat their seizures.

Our group works alongside the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at NorthShore University Hospital and other epilepsy centers in the Northwell System.
